Two of my friends living in France own Landrovers, they have both contacted Landrover U.K for certificates of conformation and have both been told they will have to contact Landrover France, has anyone else had problems registering Landrovers?

Landrover UK as per other UK makes can issue a European certificate of conformity , but they can not issue a French one.

The European one is accepted by some prefectures, but many will still only accept the French CERF version.

So all in all it is quite normal that they have been redirected to landrover france.

You need to contact Landrover in Paris, I had the number but can't find it. Send them a copy of the logbook and all the information of the data plate along with a cheques for €116.
