Diana
This Friday we are visiting Grouparma to discuss the insurance for our vehicles. In the UK we use specialist companies for each type of vehicle but would not know where to start in France. On Friday we are buying a new minibus and this will need to be insured staight away, the other vehicles can wait as they are still covered on the UK policies. Can anyone recommend French insurance companies for old military vehicles, camping cars and ordinary cars.ThanksDiana
Foxtrot
Hi Diana,Can recommend Bailly in Dijon (http://www.assurances-bailly.fr/) who specialise in classic cars and military vehicles. You do need to have a regular modern vehicle insured somewhere else though. At one stage we had a UK registered MG insured through Bailly whose only proviso was that we inform them once it had French plates. We currently have an old Peugeot insured with Bailly for about 110€ per year; the price goes down with the number of cars you insure...Good luck,Katie
Le_Jars
Does this mean that they will only insure cars with a 'classique' definition? and not be able to take it outside your departement? Thanks, Dave.

Diana
Thank you, Bailly's is just what we were looking for, we will phone them in the morning. This is what makes this site so good, you can ask an obscure question and get a direct answer. Now who can suggest an UK or French company who will insure modern UK cars to spend more than 30 days outside the UK in France, idealy 90 days plus.ThanksDiana
