Loiseau
Anyone know if there is a map on-line that shows the current motorway exit numbers for France? I have got caught out in two areas of France (once south of Boulogne, and once north of Bordeaux) where the junction numbers had been changed, and no longer related to those on my (fairly recent) Michelin map. This caused a lot of friction between driver and navigator, as you can imagine... Angela (UK and 85)
Richard-R
You could try www.autoplus.fr a motoring mag like autoexpress in the U.K.
Baz
Angela, I do not know whether you are aware that Michelin publish a map of all the French autoroutes with all exit numbers, rest areas etc. Their 2005 edition is now published as 726 National and the ISBN 2067110918 and is also easily available also in the UK. If you place the ISBN into this site you will be able to buy via the net in 1-2 days. http://www.bookbrain.co.uk/Also for information on all French Autoroutes try this site: http://www.autoroutes.fr/index.php?lng=2Baz
Loiseau
I couldn't find anything relevant on that site, Richard......and Baz, I had already gone bananas today trying the autoroutes.fr site, which took me round and round in circles, but only offered a very general map (too small a scale to have exit numbers), or wanted you to put in a precise route. I am writing a guidebook, and need to be able to say: "It's near J15 of the A23", or whatever and would like a way of double-checking that these numbers haven't recently changed from those on my trusty map.I know I could buy a Michelin autoroute map, but how would I know if even that was up to date?So - still looking for that website...! Cacknanty
Try www.map24.co.uk and zoom in to the intersection. Requires java2 but will download it if required.Or www.viamichelin.co.ukCheers
Loiseau
Gosh, those are SOOO nearly what I need! They do both show motorways and exit numbers, BUT the numbers are still the same as thoseon my paper map: i.e. the junction on the A16 north of Marquise is still shown as J7, whereas I have discovered from bitter experience that is is now J36!I guess I am looking for a site created and updated by the man who sticks the new numberings on the exit signs!Angela
