Washy
My husband has searched all day for the number on the chassis. We have looked in the Haynes Manual and telephoned Land Rover but we cannot find the number. The chassis has been painted with a protective paint and we have taken this off in various places.Any ideas? This vehicle has already had a control technique (MOT) in france without problems, so I feel inclined to go back to the same garage for the CT. Percyatok
If it's a good old fashioned series landy it isn't on the chassis at all but on the cab side of the front bulkhead, pretty much amidships, just in front of the gearlever. Washy
The car is an ordinary LR Defender 90, and we have looked in all the recommended places listed on other sites and in the Haynes manual??????? Thanks for suggestions so far.....
Paul Bradford
I seem to recall from my time as a Police Officer that 4 x 4 type vehicles had the chassis number stamped on the chassis. It was visible when you looked under the front offside wheel arch. I hope this helps, failing that try telephoning the Land rover Dealer Service Dept.RegardsPaul Bradford
