Jacks
We are thinking of reregistering our RHD car which is 4 years old. Will we have to change the headlights for the Control Technique? Thanks for any help.Jackie
Ron Avery
More than likely yes. Although some CT stations have allowed deflectors in the past, for your safety and that of other road users it would be better to change to LHD lights.
Iceni
Depends on the car and the CT station. Our Mist Wagen has mechanically adjustable headlights thus gender benders had never been needed - so no prob. The CT place would have refused to pass it with stickers etc but other places interpret the same rule differently.Johnnot
Barrym
I had 3 CTs in Burgundy with the old lights and the first one in the Vendee said I had to change them. I'd recommend try the CT without changing them and if they want them changed you get plenty of time to do so.
Harvey
If CT say, you do have to change them. try your local Breakers yard. I was quoted about 300 euros for new lights, but found perfect match for only 100 euros

Patmobile
The headlights on our Golf were broken, presumably by a clumsy supermarket parker. We had them replaced on the insurance with french ones - so there's a silver lining....Patrick
