Azila
Can anybody let me know if there are any new travel regulations for what you must have in the car when travelling e.g. neon jacket, first-aid kit etc. Someone has told my husband that from the 1st of July the French gov. introduced a load of new things that you had to carry in the car and that the police are doing on the spot fines if you don't have everything and as we are coming over next Tues he is starting to freak out. Thanks Lisa
Audois
Not sure about this; although I'd heard the same, that this type of thing was coming into force across Europe. In Spain it's been obligatory to have a yellow jacket and two hazard triangles IN REACH of the driver (so no putting it in the boot!) for about a year now. Due to this (and my numerous trips over the border) my yellow gilet is on display and the hazard triangles are behind the passenger seat. I've not heard about a first aid kit ... Val_2
Just bought three flurorescent waistcoats in La Foire Fouille for 7€ each so you don't have to break the bank to get safe.
