OH having mid-life crisis (or 2nd childhood, not sure which) and has purchased a Jet Ski to take and leave in France. After insuring it from the UK for the journey to France, I have been advised by French insurance co. that it needs to be immatricule in France before they can insure it, which the relevant authority (Something maritime, I've forgotten who, but I've written it down somewhere.....:blush in France assures me is no more complex than turning up to see them with the paperwork issued for the thing in the UK, and registering it with them. Call me cynical, but when someone in authority in France tells me that it couldn't be simpler and that just turning up and changing the documents is all it takes, I break out in a bit of a sweat and start imagining an endless series of trips to various authorities, a mountain of paperwork, etc.Has anyone done anything similar?
