pinkfluff<P>Big Wet Drops and Lots of Them, Are a Sure Sign of Rain!<P> Posted September 16, 2005 Share Posted September 16, 2005 I have bought a escort van GB registered off the notice board in SuperU the ladys husband tragically passed away last year whilst renovating their retirement home and the van untaxed since october last year was left in the garage until the lady and her husband came over to sort out their affairs they advertised it on the notice board at such a very cheap price that I could not resist even though I could see the complications in registering it I have the V5 but not in my name and wondered if I should first register it to my UK address first telling them it is not being used on british roads and then import it here before starting the trail to french plates has anyone ideas on the best method I wondered if it was possible to register it with the V5 here but not being in my name it might be awkward any help would be appreciated cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you have a UK address, then register it there first & complete a SORN (don't bother with exporting it...), then register it here. Shouldn't be too much hassle with an Escort.
