bigjimbishop
My Xantia runs really well on 50/50 diesel/rapeseed oil mix from Lidl and 0.15% Acetone. 25,000 Km this year and no problems yet, avarage saving on 1300 litres was 300 Euro. It does smell a bit Chippy! My question...........Does anyone know if there is a wholesaler who does veg oil? Like a UK equivalent of Macro? I have a small business so it's a legitimate expense.I don't want to start a thread about the legal implications as this has been covered already in this forum. Many thanks

But no idea about bulk oil.Haven't seen any used veg oil recycling activity here yet.... quite fancy popcorn scented burner fumes!
Tag
Does the mixture foul up the jets or whatever they are called in a TDI? Would my old and battered Audi A4 survive this fuel? Did you have to modify the engine or whatever at all? If I open a chippy problem of fuel solved!Anything which saves money and which denies it to governments! Fumanzoku
I've been driving on the same mix for a few months now without problem. No modifications, I drive a circa 93 Mitsubishi Delica Turbo Deisel.
Tag
The French customs and excise (I think it part of the douanes service) frequently stop diesel cars to check the colour of the fuel in their tanks. Anyone ever been checked with this mixture? If so, what was the reaction? Or is there any legal aspect to be considered?
