Sunday Driver
Some useful information about traffic police activity in Seine Maritime:A mobile radar check takes place every day on the A28 near Rouen; The St Romain traffic squad have a Ford Focus which travels on the A28 in the direction of Le Havre. It has a rear facing message board which displays such things as "fasten your seat belts", "put your phone down", keep your distance", turn your lights on", and even "STOP!";At Beautot, the junction of the A151 and the RN27 is particularly dangerous. It’s where a 130kph motorway becomes a 110kph dual carriageway. It’s also the route for the Dieppe/Newhaven ferry and police look out for Brits rushing to catch their boat; The N151 at Bouville is a three lane road with centre lane overtaking. Drivers coming from Rouen usually go too fast (limit is 90kph) and the police put traffic bikes there to stop them.
