Justsomeguy
Can anyone please give me an idea of what the cost of the CT for a Twingo(1.2 16v) will be?I have read previous queries re this and I am totally unsure of how long a CT must have to run when I sell it. The car is nearly 4 years old and is due for test in September (ie just less than 6 months). Am I legal to sell without hassle or would it be best just to get an early CT as I want to sell soon?? Sunday Driver
If you sell a car, the new owner can't re-register it in his name if the CT is more than 6 months old, so it might become a sticking point in the sale. I'd get a fresh CT just before you advertise it. Cost is usually around 56 euros.

Justsomeguy
Although I`m still no wiser re the CT------- As the car doesn`t have to have one yet ,the CT isn`t more than six months old-so, do I take it there should be at least 6 months still to run before the CT is due? Anton Redman
If 3 years 6 months or less have elapsed since the car was first registered no problem. If on the other hand 3 year and 8 months hae passed the prospectve purchaser may use the timing ot drive down the price but can still gte the car registered in their name
Sunday Driver
Sorry, a bit of brainfade there - I'm used to people selling older cars. As Anton says, its worth spending 56 euros to enhance the sale and stop anyone trying to beat you down on price because they've got to spend more money on the car.
