Gerry
Having just bought a holiday home in France I plan to divide my time between there and the UK. I will take my car over by ferry and stay for anything up to two to three months at a time. I have had difficulty arranging car insurance through UK companies and wondered if anyone could advise an insurer who would provide fully comprehensive cover for both countries. Jonzjob
Hi Gerry, get in touch with BIBA (British Insurance Brokers Aquitane) and speak to a lady called Gaye Galliver. She does our house, health and car ins and is very good, competitive and helpful. If she can help she will. Phone number 0033. 5.53.01.13.84.Nothing to do with the company, but just satisfied customers...John.
Polremy
We live in France and insure our car here. Included automatically in the comprehensive insurance is cover for driving anywhere in Europe. We dont even have to notify the company if we are travelling abroad. And the insurance is cheaper than the equivalent in England. The only snag is of course that you would have to change over to French number plates!
