maude
Hi folks.Over the last few months or so,we seem to have HGV,s taking a short cut route through our commune, starting very very early in the morning.I am under the impression that HGV,s are prohibited, allegedly, from using non trunk or motorway roads in the "quiet" hours and weekends. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks,Maude
andyh4
At this time of year movement of trucks is prohibitted on Saturday and Sunday except for the period 19:00 to 24:00 on Saturday. After the summer the restrictions are from 22:00 Saturday until 24:00 SundayThere are other local restrictions.Exceptions (main ones) are:Trucks carring perishable goods - including livestockTrucks carrying fuelIf your French is up to it:http://www.bison-fute.equipement.gouv.fr/fr/IMG/pdf/poids_lourds2006_cle1ee8a7-1.pdfI am not aware of any minor road restrictions other than those roads that have a mximum permitted weight or axle loading - and these are permenant restrictions.
