Mark
Is there still a legal requirement to re-register your car when you move to a different departement? I'm going to be in the Vendée for six months from October, and as my English tax and MOT runs out in January I may as well register with 85 plates and get the Control Technique sorted pretty much on arrival. I'm then moving to the Pyrenees, so will I then have to repeat the registration process and get new 65 plates fitted? I think I read smewhere that the whole system was to be overhauled, removing the re-registration requirement, but I just thought I'd check.Thanks. Val_2
Still required to change dept plates I'm afraid and usually within 14 days of ownership/re-registering vehicle.
Sunday Driver
You have one month in which to notify your new Prefecture of a change of address.
fulcrum
If it's for a change of address then it is also FREE. I can vouch for this as I've had to do it twice in the last nine months. The first time took 15 days and the most recent one took ten minutes. Maybe theyre getting more efficient [8-)]
