Tony F Dordogne
A chum got himself into a bit of a scrape (was over the limit) a few weeks ago and had his licence pulled by the Prefecture. His three months is up today - he's been for the tests which he passed easily, hasn't had a drink again and was told he would get his licence back because there was no reason to hold on to it.Does anybody know what the process is for the return of the licence? Does it just appear at his home, the local G men/women's office or does he have to go get it from Perigeaux?
Sunday Driver
The avis de retention that he was given when he surrendered his licence shows the address of the office he needs to contact in order to get it back. The office will make his licence available for collection up to midday following the date the retention period expired. After that, he has to send a request by registered post (with accuse de reception).
