tonshun
I need to get my tracking checked on my car as tyres are starting to wear unevenly. Can anyone please tell me what 'tracking' is in French and a rough idea of the cost?Am i right in assuming that anywhere that sells tyres, brakes etc can do tracking checks? Many thanks. basquen
Wheel alignment in general is 'géométrie'tracking = 'parallelisme' camber = 'carrossage' caster = 'chasse'Most garages are equipped to do this. Some of the bigger ones will have all sorts of laser equipment to achieve this, but I tend to use my local village garage who are reasonably well equipped but not with all the bells and whistles - for me it's the end result that matters not the method !Personally I would avoid places (such as Norauto and Feuvert) that sell tyres and brakes because invariably they always try to sell you...... tyres and brakes as well. tonshun
Many thanks. And i agree, i also don't want to pay for all expensive laser equip when it's not essential!Just found an advert that says "Reglage du Parallelisme" for 'only' 38euros, TTC. That sounds a lot to me!! Only ever paid c£15 when i was in the UK!
