Trying to get the best deal on a new car

We are about to take the plunge and buy a new car (an lhd Honda) and

have been comparing the prices from various sources including personal

car importers in the UK (which involves registering the car here and

collecting the car from Belgium), the local Honda dealer in Pau, and a

French discount car supplier called Aramis (Aramisauto.com).  So

far Aramis are well ahead on price (with a 7% discount on the model we want) although we will await their

detailed estimate with the inevitable extras - delivery, plates etc - to

make a fair comparison.  Has anyone ever had any dealings with

Aramis and if so how did it work out?  Please pm me if you prefer.

No but I decided in August to buy a new Hyundai Tucson (see my blog for the full story) and rather than pay the full 29500 euro that the local dealer wanted I did a search on Wanadoo. I ended up going to Cahors and getting the same car for 5000 euro less. I am very pleased with it and the service.
