Sunshine
HiI am looking for car insurance which is due for renewal in February 07. We have cancelled our current one with AXA. Can any one recommend a contact/agent who searches through a number of companies? (I have checked, using the search engine but can not find any info)Brum Brum

derf
Why did you cancel it so early? It would have been better to get quotes from the other company's and when you get the renewal notice from your present insurance company you could make the decision then. Cassis
I think some companies require 3 months notice of cancellation. Not all, but some. Even at renewal time.
cooperlola
Yes, I believe this always was the rule but changed at the beginning of the year. No company can enforce the 3 month rule now, I think.
Cassis
That would explain why I had no problem cancelling our AGF car insurance at renewal time this August, without giving notice. Getting the attestation out of them for proof of no claims was another story, though!
Miki
[quote user="Cassis"]I think some companies require 3 months notice of cancellation. Not all, but some. I have changed assurers for both house (and with it the business) and two car assurances and saved a nice few bob in the bargain. Somewhat too lazy to change it before, always missing the cut off date to cancel old assurance but now, it's pretty easy to cancel and get devis from other companies.http://www.linternaute.com/actualite/argent/05/loi-chatel.shtmlLots more on the net and this is just one notice but , we went through all this last year I think ?
