Bugsy
There is a limit on the amount of cash you can use to pay for a car here. Don't know the amount (SD probably will) but it's something to do with money laundering prevention....................................[Www]
rufford
We went to look at a car, decided to buy it and got the shock of our life when we were told to write the cheque and take the car. This was from a dealer and cost thousands.
Teamedup
Yes, as long as you sort your insurance out. Everything could end up being temporary, but that is OK. It all gets sorted out a bit later.

Anton Redman
Visit an insurance company first explain situation, they will probably want to take photocopies of passports, driving licenses and a recent utility bill to prove your address. Check that they will cover you for the type of car you have in mind. Then agree to telephone them when you know which car you have purchased.Dealer will probably have a tame agent who will be able to make the arrangements by phone.
