Sarah
In order to find out who owns the land or property is there a general place as there is in the UK or does one have to go to the Mairie, and would they tell one. The region I am interested in is 56130 Morbihan Bretagne. thanks Sarah S
moon
I am fairly sure there is no central registry. The local Mairie will usually help you, they told us who owned some adjoining land to ours, however dont know whether they would give you an address. We were told name and knew the person concerned so didnt ask for address. They have all maps and records of ownership within the commune.Bob
Val_2
You could also enquire at the local Trésor Public who will have a register of who owns what because of the taxes due on them.
