Howard
I will be moving to France in August, renting a property for 6 months prior to buying. How can I arrange insurance cover when not a resident in France? My UK company will only cover me for 1 month.
suein56
But you will become resident in France as soon as you start renting; so you will be able to become insured with a French company using your rental contract as proof of residence. Make sure you have proof of your UK car insurance and your no claims bonus as you will need them.Sue
cooperlola
However, a French company will expect you to begin the process of re-registering your car as soon as you get here (you have one month in which to do it.)
