MrCanary
On my recent trip to France, my 'fairly new' Citroen C4 developed a fault - but I was able to keep driving.I took the car and the problem to the Citroen dealers that have a garage next to LeClerc in Loches. The service I received there was excellent. Good old-fashioned helpfulness and politeness. Nothing was too much trouble and I got the feeling that everybody went out of their way to help this 'foreigner with a problem' to resolve it.If and when I get to settle in France, there is little doubt as to where I will look first to buy a French registered car! Ford Anglia
Just don't get one with the Citroen quirky suspension, then take it back to the UK for repair. Our Xantia developed a fault last year, the same fault that our previous one had while it was in France. teh previous one was repaired by a local garage at a cost of £120 inc parts, although it DID take three days to do.In the UK the repair cost £250, and that was £50 off after I complained about the price[:@]And NO-ONE else would touch it in the UK, "Sorry, we can't do Citroen suspension, too specialised".[:@][:@]
