slippersandflour
Hi,can you tell me what rights the buyer has if they buy a car for cash. I bought one and received a receipt with sold as seen on the car, however I now have couple of problems and would like to either return it or gain some money back
Tony F Dordogne
AFAIK, sold as seen means sold as seen, I don't think that you have any recourse on this.
Will
Did you buy from an individual or a trader?
slippersandflour
Hi Will,It was a private sale
Will
In that case, I would agree with Tony. You can, in theory, claim 'vice caché' from either a trader or an individual, but it is rather less straightforward for a private sale. You would need to prove that the seller was aware of a fault and deliberately concealed it.
