paw862
Hi, based on numerous years of experience looking at crashed cars this was a low speed impact.

Iceni
So was the car damaged when the old lady bounced off your daughter or vice-versa ? [8-)] Either way one of them packs a hefty "punch". Mystified of Lot

BJSLIV
Your daughter has benefited from the modern car design which has done what it was intended to do and absorbed the impact of the crash. In the process the wing structures have collapsed to prevent injury to the driver.Unfortunately it means that simple crashes do cause a lot more damage than the old more rigid structures.Fortunately there are fewer serious injuries to the human contents of the vehicles concerned. powerdesal
how low is low? The speed limit was 50kph...
I would guess at less than 10kph.
hoverfrog
definitely more than 10kph... there's a better photo at:http://www.veytisou.com/figaro.jpgParties in both cars have seatbelt-shaped bruises.

I hope your daughter is OK. It's really fightening to be hit like that.Of course I hope the old lady is OK too. It's really frightening to hit someone like that, I would imagine.
