We are very keen to sell our house in Brittany as soon as possible and this is another option we want to look into. So far, all I know is that you have to go through the notaire. This lists various auctions, either through notaire or tribunal, and maybe one of the notaires specialising in auctions in your arae will be listed.Good luck.
