dave21478
I have a 2001 Citroen to register in France. Last time (It was a 99 model last time) I sent to Citroen for the certificate of conformity and had no problems. I have noticed that this newer model has a type approval number on the uk V5 - The last car didnt have this part filled in.Someone told me having this type approval number eliminated the need to have a certificate of conformity. Is this true?
Sunday Driver
You will find that the prefecture will require a separate certificate of conformity. You can check out their website for details of the documentation they require.
clarksinfrance
I believe that you can give the type approval number to your local DRIRE office and they can print you out a C of C for a charge. It was €85 in our case for a Vectra estate about 3 yrs ago.
