Francie
I am in the process of applying to import my car, and need the cylinder size. After consulting my log book and drivers handbook, I cant seem to find the cylinder size in cm3 (Cylindree). I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.7 Merit Estate diesel. Can anyone give me or guide me to where I can get this information? Thanks
cooperlola
Is it the size of the cylinders, the cubic capacity (1.7) or the number (probably 4 without looking it up). Can you put the question on here? If it's a four cylinder engine then just divide the cubic capacity by the number of cylinders (that should be in your handbook, but you could open the bonnet and count them! - although as I say, likely to be 4)Edit : Yes, 4!http://media.gm.com/gb/vauxhall/en/news/pr_old/24502.htm
Chancer
Cylindrée in this instance = displacement or swept volume of the engine, not just one individual cylinder. So yours will be 1700cc or probably marginally less if you consult your handbook. The actual engine size is 1686 (in my link).

Sunday Driver
If you look on your V5C registration certificate, Section 4 Vehicle Details, it's under P.1 Cylinder capacity (cc).
