Hev&Jon
Hello,I know you don't need a full driving licence to drive a "sans permis" vehicle, hence the name, but does anybody know whether you have to pass any kind of highway code exam before you can drive one? Thanks,Heather. Sunday Driver
If you were born prior to 1 January 1988, then you do not need a driving licence, nor to you have to pass a code de la route exam. If you were born after that date, then you must have a brevet de securité routiere (BSR) - that's the same as a moped/scooter licence.
Tony F Dordogne
And you have to be prepared to pay a very hefty insurance premium, one of the reasons being that these are sometimes the only vehicle drunk drivers can drive or those who have lost their licence for other reasons and therefore they are more of an insurance risk.
