Mr Coeur de Lion
I've got a minor problem with my car which means I can't drive up to Paris to pick up my wife's daughter from CDG on Sat and it's sod's law that something always goes wrong when you can't get anything done about it. My neighbour has offered to lend me his car for the day so I can drive up. He doesn't have much paperwork (apart from the green insurance doc) and we're not sure whether I'll be covered or not under his policy. I know on my policy, anyone can drive my car and wondered if this is generally normal for all fully comp insurance in France. As Christmas is here, no-one is open to get an answer so thought my next best bet would be to ask here.
AnOther
Have a look 5 threads down. The answer seems to be yes, you are covered.EDIT:Your comment "He doesn't have much paperwork (apart from the green insurance doc)" bothers me a bit. Why ?If you did have a problem the gendarmes might be a bit suspicious of the lack of papers, especially as it isn't your car.Just being on the cautious side you understand [;-)]
Mr Coeur de Lion
He's just not that organised, they've just finished renovating and like most people (well us anyway), paperwork is all over the place but never where you can find it.As it turns out, I won't need his car after all as I managed to fix mine, but at least we know for the future. Handy to know. But many thanks for the reply.
