AnOther
For those who think re-registering their car is all too much trouble allow me the relate my experiences of this day with my MGB.In preparation, I had obtained a C of C from an outfit in Paris (thanks SD) and fitted LHD headlights - cost €150 for C of C and £ 40 for headlights.11 am this morning appointment for CT - unexpected problem when a minor petrol leak discovered but went home and fixed it and represented at 14:00 when it passed OK and by 14:30 on the road to Cahors - cost €64First stop Hotel des Impots for Quittas Fiscale - probably not neccessary for a 40 year old car which I had personally owned for 20 years but it took no more than 20 minutes and was free.Next stop The Prefecture where I was in and out in under 45 minutes with Carte Grise in hand - cost €150Final port of call my local garage for a pair of plates - cost €28.30So job jobbed at a total cost of €392.30 + £40 and in under 6 hours including unplanned repairs and 60km of driving ! Kitty
That has to be a record, Ernie. Mine took weeks, despite a lot of help from Sunday Driver here on the Forum.Perhaps I'll get you to register my next car...
