AnOther
...proof from the police of non-conviction...
Convictions for what ?Driving convictions will be on the licence won't they so do you mean that a conviction for anything, lets say shoplifting, disqualifies you from getting the pink approval slip ? Frenchie
Frenchie are you hiring a car or borrowing a friends ?
No, my partner is English, he s got a car registered in the UK, right hand wheel etc .. It s a Porsche ... ( Boxster) That adds to the stress !! I don't want to wreck that car!! My darling says it s so easy to drive.. Well, Ill tell you about that when back in January.......... woolybanana
Oh no Frenchie, you need much more than that. Ernie can tell you but look at my list posted earlier.
Frenchie
I will never be able to have all that is required then... I ve been burgled, I got no Identity card at the moment, ( will get the new one soon)... The licence is a " double" from the police station cos mine was stolen and it takes time to renew it .. I'm leaving in less than 4 weeks..
woolybanana
Oooooooooohhh dear. Six months in a brit prison. Far worse than a Sudanese one.[6]
Sunday Driver
The only documents you need in order to visit the UK and drive a car there is your carte d'identité or passport plus your permis de conduire. The temporary police 'double' will suffice provided it remains valid for the duration of your visit. That's all......
Frenchie
Oh thanks .Of course Ill have my carte d identité , and the valid temporary licence. Right ... England, here I come over !! mint
So, Frenchie, I no longer believe that you want to be Mrs Macca after all. Why you already have this English chap, a Northerner no less, who owns a Porsche, is willing for you to drive it and wants to see in the New Year with you.Alors, I can see my invitation to Macca Towers is not worth the electronic page it's written on! Don't know whether it's worth my while to keep on being nice to you on the forum.Have a GREAT time, Frenchie, and whatever you do, DON'T be tempted to speed in that car. I am convinced that the fuzz get jealous of anyone driving a car like that and will find all sorts of reasons to stop you. You've been WARNED![:D]
Alan Zoff
If you are stopped, just tell them that the car belongs to Steve Gerrard. They will probably give you a police escort. (Or they might arrest you for nicking it.)
