allanb
As a matter of interest, has anyone here with lights correct for France ever changed them for a visit to the UK?Common sense says that you should. I admit that I never have, in fact I usually don't even think about it until I'm somewhere north of Birmingham.
Sunday Driver
For the odd occasions I'm back in the UK and having to drive in the dark, I just rotate the beams downwards a bit using the nifty knob on the dashboard. Works fine.
Nick Trollope
Me too, except for the Transit, which you can't. Never been flashed. But that is a different story....
Will
And me - I did actually buy some back-to-front beam bender things but passed them on, unopened, when we sold the LHD car because I always found it much easier and just as effective to do the same as SD. allanb
I've got one of those nifty knobs on the dashboard too,but I had never thought of using it for that purpose. Now I will. Thank you.
Gyn_Paul
My understanding (ie. my translation from my French Garage-iste) is that continental headlights dip but don't bend, therefore they don't dazzle when driven on the wrong side of the road.p
Bob T
Well my last 3 cars have all had a kick up to the right on the dipped beam.
Sunday Driver
My LHD car also has a good kick up the kerb, but I have no trouble visiting the UK with them wound down. Besides, if the bloody Brits want to drive on the wrong side of the road, that's their problem.....[;-)]
