Gail and Paul
GAIL and Paul
We are considering erecting a wall along our boundary and I know we must inform the Marie of our intent (form filling etc). Would this apply if we planted a hedge or conifers?
Teamedup
Yes you should inform your Mairie of the planned boundary fence. Also there are usually, perhaps local by laws, if not national laws about planting hedges, how close then can be and how high, so should ask at your Mairie about hedges. Loiseau
Yes, it's something like you can build a wall on the boundary, but a hedge must be planted 50cm (or perhaps 1m) within it. Essential to check.Angela
LesLauriers
I remember something about, 2m high plant 1m in from boundary, over 2m high plant 2m in from boundary, but your Marie will keep you right.
