Mr Coeur de Lion
For some reason they have "improved" it but it has become unusable for me and a real pain. What alternatives do people use apart from sat nav? Was so simple to use before. Shame.

suein56
Was so simple to use before. Shame.
Last time I used it I discovered it had been 'improved' and it was a disaster, AFAIWC, as the detail that, to us, had been so important was just not there. Up popped a 'what do you think of our new, improved site' so I told them; very politely, that it was not as good as it had been before. We now use: http://www.rac.co.uk/web/routeplanner/ as it is clear and concise but with just the right amount of detail for us in France - until they 'improve' it that is. Keith CHANNING
I find map24 quite useful. The only reason I had, in the past, used viamichelin.fr was for the fuel and toll cost indications
bixy
Yes, it's rubbish. How often does this happen. Some bright spark trying to make a name for himself spends months producing a dog's breakfast. What's that old saying: if it ain't broke...Patrick
Anton Redman
I thought the route finding had improved pre redesign. In 2006 their route to the autoroute to Perigeaux took 18 minutes and passed two traffic lights. Mine took 9 minutes and passed none. The last time I checked they were almost but not quite the same as me. I still gain 1 minutes on them.I always thought web designers should be compelled to work and test with a Research Machines 80186 with a Dataflex Modem. They should also be forced to check they pages printed on one page of an HP printer.

My problem is with the new viamichelin "improved" website which I often use to get an idea of where places are, not with my sat nav which works fine. Keith CHANNING
Am I the only one to have found out that if you browse to http://old.viamichelin.fr instead of http://www.viamichelin.fr you get the old site?
toni
The AA also have a route finding facility, although it does tend to be a bit too 'dense' in the amount of info it gives.
