Bannon
Any ideas guys on how to register a car in France if you are unable to supply a utility bill. A friend of ours need to do this but lives in a long term rental and their name of course is not on any of the bills that come into the house. The vehicle is already on French plates.Cheers
woolybananasbrother
Won't a copy of the rental agreement do in lieu of a utility bill?
Nell
When we bought a French car, we were in rented accomodation with no bills in our name. We got a letter from the Marie. Would that work?
Sunday Driver
As per WBB, a copy of the rental agreement will suffice.

Phil & Pat
Has your friend actually been asked for a utility bill? The dealer I bought from only wanted a cheque.
Bannon
It was not the dealer that wanted the utility bill, it was the Prefecture.
dave21478
When I was in a simiar situation, I got my landlord to write a letter that stated I was lodging at the supplied address and a copy of his identity card - worked for everything I needed.
