babcock
This sort of thing has been happening in Liverpool, where I used to work, for at least 10 years. Don't leave anything on a backseat and make sure that the doors are locked.
Sunday Driver
Similar thing in Birmingham, only involving rep's laptops being lifted out of the boot at traffic lights. Standard instruction was to put them in the boot out of sight, but no-one had twigged that the central locking system also de-activated the boot lock as well as the doors.... Gardian
I just have this picture in my mind of Brummie scoundrels opening the bootlids of cars at traffic lights, slamming them shut in disgust and yanking open the driver's door to bollock the driver for "Not keeping your laptop where your boss told you to." "Now get it right next time eh?"
