December 2008 duly filled in "formulaire" as instructed by local mairie with ONE photo, NO charge and COPY of Permis; strangely the application has got LOST at the Prefecture in Niort.[:(][:(]NOW in January 2009 the ball game has radically changed; TWO photos, € 25 charge and the ORIGINAL of Permis.[:D][:D]I am advised to resubmit the application. For example if you move house or move into Lot et Garonne, no charge for a new Permis de Conduire is made, but for a brand new license and this includes changing a UK one for a French one, then you must pay your 52 Euros.
