HertzVanHire
I have white number plates. Others have yellow. Is there a rationale for the colour?

Phil & Pat
The colour of the rear plate (white or yellow) is now your choice.
Nell
We got new number plates from Norato 2 weeks ago and Yellow was not an option...
Phil & Pat
Perhaps they had run out of yellow plates, or only stock the white ones to reduce costs.
cooperlola
Legally, you can display either white or yellow to the rear but I don't think you can purchase yellow ones now. The ruling only allows for those with older cars to continue with their existing plates. I have not seen any recent registrations with yellow rear plates (and my o/h, in particular, is very observant about these things!)
