piglet
Does anyone have any tips for insuring imported our RHD Volvo in France? Now got our Carte Gris and tried a couple of web sites but they seem reluctant to insure RHD cars not bought here (les véhicules étrangers non achetés par les mandataires français) and am getting fed up imputting our data to no avail. Many thanks.
Iceni
I have never tried to insure a Volvo in France but I have insured an RHD BMW and cannot imagine that it will be very different for you. As a sweeping generalisation France has not yet learned to love computers and the internet so I suggest that you take your CG and phrasebook into the office of an insurance broker and do it the old fashioned way.John

[/quote]IMHO you are going to have to do this through an agent either directly or by phone. Try a search using the search box; there are some English speaking agencies, if you need one. I insured my RHD Citroen Saxo using our local AGF agency.Edit: John beat me to it!Sue
