Clair
Something like this maybe?http://www.v33.fr/peintures-speciales-fer/antirouille-incolore,42,22.html?&vars=cHJvZHVpdF9pZD04Mg%3D%3D
dave21478
The direct kurust equivelant is called Frameto. Blue-ish liquid you paint on, it reacts with the rust and turns black. Its available in brico depot. its in a brown-ish bottle. They stock another that you can supposedly use neat or add to normal paint, but im not convinced tbh. Bob T
And chemically it is a phosphate treatment. I have 5 liters of it here as my cousin is a chemist and has a business that supplies it to the motor industry.
Iceni
Thanks for all your help - now all I have to do is find "Frameto anti-rouille" on the shelf but as we all know, the bricos either won't have it or not enough of it.TTFNJohn
dave21478
I have seen it in a few different brico shops, most just stock the smaller bottle though which must be about 150ml or so? Brico depot always have it and also stock a 500ml bottle. Its in the same aisle where the metal and exterior paints are stocked.
Iceni
Found in Bricorama in St Laurent-les-Tours, 2 sizes. My apologies for ever doubting them.Sadly nearest Brico Depot is several light years away.John
