Clair
Some national companies might be allow you to drop the van off in another depot: you take the train to Toulon, drive the loaded van to Niort and drop it off there...?
Frenchie
I checked that, they ask for 790 euros [blink]

[/quote]Try the garage that services your car. We only went in to ask about van hire but ended up hiring a van for 24 hours from our local (small) Citroen garage. We needed to collect lots of heavy furniture packs ie wardrobes etc from Ikea. The cost was approx 85 euros for a big van. We were not asked to pay a deposit as we were known to them - they had put LHD headlights on my Saxo for its immatriculation here a couple of months before. krusty
Hello Reg , remember me [Www]. I hired a van today from Super U , 49 euros for the day .It was a Fiat Ducato , it holds 11m3They allow 100km then charge 17 cents per km.So for your journey it will still be expensive when you add on the cost of fuel (mind you the Fiat seemed to do well , the gauge hardly moved).I had to leave them a cheque for 800e deposit , but that was returned to me when I took the van back in one piece (no end to my talents [;-)])
