elamessa
I know that this subject has been covered before (a search found posts from 2007) but does anyone know if the rules are easier for importing a UK registered 2007/8 motorhome since 2007.Thanks in advance.Steve

elamessa
Thanks Clair.Unfortunately none of these posts tell me if the entrance/exit door of the motorhome needs to be on the RH side of the vehicle as mine is on the LH side as per uk spec.RegardsSteve
Sunday Driver
The restriction on the placing of the living area access door has been omitted from DRIRE technical documentation since March 2008. The situation has also been confirmed by Swift UK who now issue full EU certificates of conformity for their motorhome conversions - with the door on the UK side.A 2007/8 vehicle should have been fully EU approved by your own converter so you should contact them for a certificate of conformity which, together with a quittus fiscal VAT certificate, will be sufficient to register the vehicle at your prefecture.
