Katieb
We arrived here 6 weeks ago and now living in rented accomodation. We've received a letter from SFTE (French water treatment soceity) offering to test our water from our tap free of charge as we are new customers.Has anyone else received a similar letter upon arrival? Do you recommend that we take up this offer, or are we liable to pay for any problems arising from their tests? Thanks,Kate
Ron Avery
KateWhere is here? France is a big country!! Never heard of this lot, how did they find you if you are renting? Surely the letter should be for the owners to deal with not you.If they are not your local water company treat it with some caution, unless you are on well or source water all drinking water in France is quite safe to drink. derf
This may be the company, if you want to follow the link:www.http://siren332666007.societes.org/I would think they want to sell you something, we get a water report every year from our water supply company and I am sure it's the same throughout France, so why would you consider a test from a commercial company? out to make a few bob out of you.
