hakunamatata
We have a friend who has a Canadian licence and has been driving over 20 years. She has now come to live in France and is not at all fluent in French but has been told that she will have to sit a French test, both paper and practical as her licence is not recognised here. Any suggestions? We thought she could maybe apply for an English licence through the DVLA and then transfer that to a French licence. If anyone knows a way round this we would be grateful to hear from you.
Anton Redman
Seems to depend on which Province of Canada the driving license is from :http://www.international.gc.ca/canada-europa/france/consulaire/permisqc-en.aspI have no idea if you can move a license between Provinces easily. Weegie
Another link showing which Canadian Provinces' licences are accepted in France:http://www.mfe.org/Default.aspx?SID=12359A UK licence issued in exchange would carry details of it being issued for a Canadian licence
