yorkie
I have been a resident in France for some 4 years. recently, my UK photo card licence expired after 10 years. On contacting DVLA, I was informed that, as I am resident in France, I am not entitled to a replacement even though my paper copy expires at age 70.Subsequently, I have applied for and received a French licence. On checking the categories it doesn't appear that there is a category for towing a trailer. I have been awarded A,A1,B and B1 categories.Does anyone out there know the law on towing with these categories? Thanks

cooperlola
This is interesting though, S/D. Friends of mine in a similar position to Yorkie's changed their license and were granted the category which allowed them to tow larger trailers (in this case - very importantly - a four wheeled, braked horse trailerE(B) I think?)- because, the prefecture told them, they had this right in the UK and it thus transferred automatically.
