tuppence
Hi, I seem to be doing a lot of posting on this section recently but here goes with another question. Some friends of mine (no PC to find things out) need to register their Volvo estate into the French system. They have all the necessary documents but not the certificate of conformity which they thought was listed on their V5 document. Has anyone registered a Volvo and if so where did they get their C of C from? UK or France? And how much did it cost?Mind you, it started off as a good day when it took 5 minutes to get the quittus fiscale followed by a 25 mile journey to the sous prefecture only to find their staff are on strike today[6]. All answers gratefully received!!tuppence
Sunday Driver
If the car is post 1998, then they can obtain an EU certificate of conformity from Volvo UK. If it's the first issue of the certificate, then there ought not to be a charge.VCUK Customer RelationsVolvo Car UK LtdGlobe ParkMarlowBuckinghamshireSL7 1YQPhone: 08457 564636

Megan le Fey
I registered my ancient V70 here in France about 18 months ago and got the C of C from Volvo Head Office in Paris. The local Volvo agent arranged it for me and they sent it within a few days. I paid a small amount, can't remember how much but not a lot at all. Don't forget to have the headlights changed if it is RHD.
