"Assainaisement non conforme"/"en coproprite". Can anyone explain these terms please?

I'm interested in a couple of small properties in Cevennes. Details of one include "assainaisement non conforme"

and the other is "en coproprite". Can anyone explain, or have experience of, either or both these terms please?

The first one means that the sewage system is noit up to snuff and will have to be modified or completely changed. This can be an expensive exercise; there should be a report from SPANK around to say what needs to be done. Be careful

The second one might mean that there is some sort of coownership. Nasty, in my book!

Yes, coownership a worrying one. However, when trying to find something for less than 100k I suppose I have to expect such things.

Copropriété is co-ownership of a building such as a block of flats

100k is a hell of a lot to be paying. I have never paid more than 25 k and I have bought 5 times in France the last 2 months ago...

I don't pay 'English' prices though.

Oi, you mean old 'ugger, who are you screwing to get places at that price, or do they have rats, illegals and have been condemned for their drains etc. Or is it those awful places with no garden, a motorway on either side and hookers on tap? Baabara will be jealous!

All of the above but not all in the same property.

Drains seem to be an issue in the latest together with the climate...Béziers was 25° today here was 13

And people who did the booze n fags run up to Andorra on Wednesday had 2 inches of SNOW on their car[:-))]

Thank you very much NormanH for the link.  100k would be my absolute top price for place in good shape with privacy and bit of garden outside a village. Apart from that I'd have to get by on the vieillesse most likely. Inclined to agree with woolybanana - what did you get, for heaven's sakes,

for 25K??

I'm not naive about prices in the area, having lived 20 years in the Cevennes
