HoneySuckleDreams
HelloHas any gone down the route (no pun intended) of fighting a parking fine?I've just picked up one in Mülhouse, down a side street next to the B&B Hotel. I'm usually very careful looking for the parking signs and would walk a considerable distance not to park illegally, but couldn't find any at all, and then made the mistake of not asking at the hotel. Come Sunday morning I had a ticket. I wasn't the only numpty though as there must have been another 15-20 cars with a ticket. I looked high and low and still couldn't find any signs!I feel a bit peeved to say the least. It would be interesting to see if this a regular ticket cashcow...sorry...I mean hotspotAnyway...is there anyone I can complain to? Who isn't going to give me gallic 'tough' shrug? Patf
Isn't there a section on the back of the form where you can put reasons why you shouldn't be fined?
Pickles
We received notification of an unpaid parking ticket on our car. It was evident that the agent had written down the wrong number (it could not have been our car) and identified the car as a Merc - ours looks nothing like any Merc! We wrote to "L'Officier du Ministre Public" for our area, with the original of the notification, copies of supporting documents (in our case a copy of the carte grise was necessary to estabish the incorrect identification of the vehicle on the ticket). We took it in and hand-delivered it, getting a receipt (I got the officer on the desk to sign a copy of the explanatory letter). We asked how long it would be before we got a response - "petit mois ou petit année". That was 3 years ago and we have not heard anything since. Dans l’attente de vos nouvelles, veuillezagréer, Monsieur l’Officier du Ministre Public, nos salutations les meilleures."You need to be clear as to what the actual offence was - which boxes had been ticked on the ticket? Go and take photos of the street if possible.RegardsPickles
