CharenteMaritimeGite
No doubts with the last one - a private buy, owner provided the Carte Grise properly crossed out and signed, and signed the certificat de cession. Simple.However... I'm now interested in one from a dealer in the UK. I'm not interested if he doesn't have the properly signed Carte Grise, but what happens about the certificat de cession? The previous owner could not know the ultimate buyers details and so could not provide a certificat de cession in the final buyer's name, and if he gave the dealer a certificat de cession the dealer would not have registered it in his name, so there's a 'gap' and no continuity when you try to register the vehicle.Am I missing something or woulsd I be on course for a couchmare? If anyone has been down this route I'd be grateful for any info! AnOther
Guessing here but if it's been sold to a UK dealer, and he knows where to contact the seller, then I guess you could download and fill in the Cert de Cessation as if you were buying direct from him not the dealer.I wonder if the dealer knows about the potential problem with the Cert de Cessation ?
