Mrs B
Hi Can anyone tell me the difference between estate agents prices marked FAI and those marked HI (honoraires inclus) - do they mean the same thing?

Sweetpea
They mean the same thing.FAI is Frais d'Agence InclusHAI is Honoraires d'Agence Inclus So this would normally mean that you would also add the Notaire's fees to this amount.
Mrs B
Thank you very much for your responses. It's amazing how the price for the same property can vary so drastically between agents. At least now I know I'm comparing like with like.
Will
When comparing prices etc do make sure that the house is being offered with the same land, outbuildings etc - this can vary, particularly with rural properties as different agents have varying views on what presents the most saleable package. A typo?
Tonyf
HI, FAI, HAI? Don't speculate, pick up the phone, write out an email and ask. An agency worth it's salt and with nothing to hide should give you a full response. TF
Brilec
Be aware that a few agencies advertise properties TTC, which means including the Notaire costs as well.
Teamedup
Brilec, TTC usually just means that the VAT is included. When I see TTC I wouldn't expect it to mean everything was included.Usually things are marked HT which is without VAT and TTC which means it is included. Mrs B
I have now spoken to an agent who has confirmed that FAI, HAI and HI all mean the same thing - agents fees included, notaires fees excluded.
